PSYC-270

This course is about the science of individual differences (meaningful ways in which people differ) and personality structure (the organization of mental processes shared by most people). We will examine personality theories and research examples from several psychological paradigms. We will address such issues as the measurement, science vs. pseudoscience, and pathology of personality. The readings will include a textbook, and they may include a few articles and short stories. Assessment may include quizzes, exams, and written critiques of personality test results. Students will choose to critique either their own results or those of volunteers Prerequisite: Psyc 110.
