Introduction to Indigeneity, Race, and Ethnicity Studies

Course Description

This interdisciplinary course is designed to introduce students to the foundational concepts and critical debates animating the study of Indigeneity, race, and ethnicity. We will interrogate how the categories of Indigeneity, race and ethnicity circulate in the United States and globally, as well as in contemporary and historical contexts. May be taken for credit towards the Gender Studies major or minor. Open to first-years and sophomores only; others by consent of instructor. Distribution area: Power & Equity.
