Laboratory exercises build on lab analysis and synthesis done in Chemistry 135. Weekly lab reports emphasize communication of technical information in various forms. Topics include analysis, synthesis, thermochemistry, spectrophotometric methods of analysis, buffers, electrochemistry, photochemistry, and kinetics. One three-hour laboratory per week. Prerequisite: Chemistry 135. Corequisite: Chemistry 126. Lab fee: maximum $20. Distribution areas: Quantitative Analysis, Scientific Inquiry.
