This course offers in-depth exploration of historical and contemporary protest rhetorics. Course offerings will encompass a variety of movements for social justice focused on gender, sexuality, race and class, and will explore primary texts produced by social movements, media coverage of social movements, theories of social change, and philosophical works produced in moments of protest.
