Course Description

This course introduces basic grammar patterns, hiragana, katakana, and kanji, while providing the student with the opportunity to practice conversational skills and to read cultural and literary materials. 4 periods per week plus 1 period of Conversation Session outside of the class with a native speaker. Distribution area: Global Cultures & Languages.
